Dr. Hersh will be giving a lecture entitled “Clinical Timecourse of Corneal Collagen Crosslinking” at the annual meeting of the Association of Research in Vision and Ophthalmology on Wedneday May 9. He will be presenting results of his work on the corneal crosslinking procedure which is designed to treat keratoconus. Keratoconus is a disorder that causes corneal weakening and distortion. Crosslinking strengthens the cornea to decrease the progression of the disease. It is currently undergoing clinical trials by Dr. Hersh at the Cornea and Laser Eye Institute.
